1999 - 2011

Bodyboardshop.com was started in 1999 by Australia's first World Champion Bodyboarder, Michael Eppelstun and his wife Krista. The dream was to make bodyboards, accessories, and bodyboarding exclusive brands available to the world through the ease of online shopping.

The online store was launched with about 10 bodyboards, 4 leashes and 3 t-shirts. The core principle of the store was to have knowledgeable staff who bodyboard themselves and are passionate about the sport.

Present Day!

2011 saw the end of an era with Eppo closing up his Sunshine Coast store and handing over the reins of bodyboardshop.com. Bodyboardshop is committed to the same vision as Michael "Eppo" Eppelstun and his wife Krista when they opened their stores 11 years ago.

We pride ourselves on being 100% Australian owned and operated and aim to provide you with the best products available to tackle the ever-changing and extraordinary conditions. We are operated by bodyboarders for bodyboarders and will continue to provide you with all your core bodyboarding supplies.

We only stock labels that support the sport in some way by sponsoring its athletes and contests and contribute toward the growth of the sport.
